Expect 4 to 6 hours of trekking on most days, with steady ascents, descents, and elevations reaching approximately 4,200 metres. No previous trekking experience is required, but you should be comfortable walking for several consecutive days on mountain trails and uneven terrain.

Trek Begins: Thimphu to Jele Dzong

The trekking adventure begins today.

After a short drive to the trailhead, ascend gradually through pine forests and mountain landscapes towards Jele Dzong. As you gain elevation, enjoy increasingly impressive views across the valleys below and the snow-capped Himalayan peaks beyond.

Visit the historic Jele Dzong before settling into camp.

Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha

Continue along mountain ridges lined with rhododendron forests and alpine vegetation.

The trail offers spectacular views across the Himalayas and opportunities to encounter yak herders tending their animals in high-altitude grazing areas. The open landscapes and fresh mountain air make this one of the trek's most enjoyable stages.

Today's route traverses beautiful alpine ridges before descending towards one of Bhutan's most picturesque mountain lakes.

Jimilang Tsho is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and tranquil setting surrounded by rolling mountains. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views stretching across the Himalayan range.

Continue through alpine landscapes and remote mountain terrain as you make your way towards another beautiful high-altitude lake.

The route passes yak-grazing pastures, open meadows, and ridgelines offering uninterrupted views of Bhutan's wilderness. The peaceful surroundings make this a memorable day of trekking.

Complete the final stage of the Druk Path Trek.

Today brings Bhutan's most iconic experience, the hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger's Nest.

Perched dramatically on a cliffside nearly 900 metres above Paro Valley, this sacred monastery is one of Bhutan's most important pilgrimage sites. Walk through pine forests lined with prayer flags as your guide shares the stories and legends surrounding Guru Rinpoche and the monastery's origins.

Return to Paro for your final evening in Bhutan.
