Day 1, Arrival - 12 Sep 24
SINGAPORE ✈ PARO (make your own way to Singapore Changi Airport)
Welcome to Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Touching down at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide upon exiting the arrival hall. Today, we will take it easy to acclimatize to the altitude. Drive to Thimphu, check in to the hotel.
Places of Visit
- Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge - A historic suspension bridge in Bhutan that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can walk across the bridge and admire the view.
- Simtokha Dzong - One of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan and serves as a religious and administrative center. It is known for its beautiful architecture and intricate wood carvings, making it a popular destination for tourists interested in Bhutanese history and culture.
- Thimphu Paper Making Factory - Showcases the traditional art of papermaking in Bhutan. Visitors can witness the entire process of making paper by hand, using techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Day 2, Thimphu - 13 Sep 24

- Big Buddha - Massive statue of Buddha Dordenma, symbolizing peace and happiness.
- Thimphu Tshechu - Colorful festival celebrating Bhutanese culture with traditional dances and rituals.
- Changangkha Lhakhang - An ancient temple in Thimphu known for its spiritual significance and panoramic views of the valley.

Day 3, Thimphu – Punakha - 14 Sep 24
We will set off early from Thimphu after breakfast. Then proceed to Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan, about 2 1/2 hours drive (subject to traffic conditions) from Thimphu across Dochu-la pass.
Places of Visit
- Travel to Dochula Pass
- Lobesa Village - A quaint settlement in Bhutan known for its scenic beauty and traditional way of life
- Chimi Lhakhang Novice Monk hostel (will skip Chimi Lhakhang if possible) - A place where young monks receive education and training in Buddhist practices
- Suspension Bridge - Offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and is a popular tourist attraction
- Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery - A serene retreat for Buddhist nuns, providing a peaceful environment for spiritual practice and contemplation.

Day 4, Punakha - 15 Sep 24
Today, we will have breakfast and proceed for a tour in Punakha.

- Wangdue Tshechu - A traditional festival in Wangdue Phodrang, Bhutan, featuring colorful mask dances and religious ceremonies.
- Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten - A beautiful Buddhist stupa in Punakha, known for its intricate architecture and panoramic views.
- Punakha Dzong - A historic fortress-monastery in Punakha, serving as the administrative and religious center of the region.

Day 5, Travel to North Thimphu - 16 Sep 24
Today, we will have a packed breakfast and check out and take a scenic drive back to North Thimphu.

- Bhutan Post Office - A unique place where visitors can create personalized postage stamps.
- Takin Reserve - A sanctuary for Bhutan's national animal, the takin.
- Travel to Paro
- Visit Thangka drawing site - Offer a glimpse into the intricate art of traditional Buddhist paintings.
- Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang - Beautiful temple known for its unique architecture.
- Paro Town - A charming destination with traditional Bhutanese architecture, shops, and cafes.

Day 6, Paro - 17 Sep 24
Today, you will have an early breakfast, and begin with a market visit before starting the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).

- Paro Morning visit Market
- Tiger Monastery by 11AM
- Stop for lunch at 1PM
- Reach the top 2pm. Start descending by 3pm.
Tiger's Nest, also known as Paro Taktsang, is a prominent Buddhist monastery and temple complex located in the cliffside of the Paro Valley in Bhutan. It is a sacred site and a popular pilgrimage destination, known for its stunning architecture and spiritual significance.
