Itinerary

Day 1 - –Airport – Pinnawala - Kandy

Arrival, welcome by a representative of Lanka Sportreizen.

Proceed to Kandy- “The Hill Capital”. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.

Lunch at outside restaurant.


Kandy............. literally the "City on the Hills" so named as it was protected by the nature - water, rocks and jungles. The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings before falling to the British in 1815AD which is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures vision of splendour of magnificence.


Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha –By far the most important place of worship for devotees all over the world.

 

Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 02 –Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Nuwara Eliya.


En-route visit Tea Garden & Tea Factory.
Nuwara Eliya... nestled in a wooded basin at the foot of Mount Pidurutalagala Sri Lanka’s highest peak, this region at 6,183ft above sea-level Has a cool, crisp climate unknown elsewhere in Sri Lanka. A serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of Colombo, the town seems like a piece of the English Lake District. Unusual plants, birds and animals thrive here besides natural feature like waterfalls and caves. Tea, the glistening green leaves of this lovely shrub, along with neat rows of green, cloak ridges and valleys providing a lasting impression of Sri Lanka’s Hill Country.

Visit Nuwara Eliya city tour including visit to Gregory Lake.


Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 03 –Nuwara Eliya - Yala

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Yala.


Yala.... Is mainly famous for wild life of Sri Lanka and The Yala national park. Of all the National Parks in Sri Lanka, Yala National Park gives the best opportunity to witness Sri Lanka’s broad variety of wildlife: colourful painted stork in troops are seen perched at the shores of lagoon where the crocodiles too have chosen to doze off; lovely fantailed peacocks in their resplendent blues and greens parade about amidst the woods where monkeys hang, leap and chatter; in the bush jungle are the Elephants; crossing the tracks and wandering off into the thorny scrub jungle is the star attraction of the park: the leopard.

After lunch set out for evening jeep safari in Yala national park


Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 04 –Yala - Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Colombo.


Lunch at outside restaurant.


Evening Undertake a City Tour of Colombo including a Buddhist Temple, Pettah, Dutch, a Hindu Temple, Mosque, Town Hall, BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), Cinnamon Gardens - Prime residential area, the
Nelum Pokuna – the newly opened Performing Arts Theatre, the newly opened Nelum Kuluna – South Asia’s highest Tower etc.

Day 05– Colombo – Departure

After breakfast at Hotel, proceed to airport for departure
