Workshop: Introduction to Mindfulness & Chinese Metaphysics
This introductory workshop by Mindfulnests is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with presence, clarity, and intention. Designed for those seeking greater self-understanding and calm amidst the pace of daily life, the session offers a gentle introduction to mindfulness and Chinese metaphysics as complementary paths of insight and alignment.
Time: 7:45 – 9:15 PM
Price: $58 per pax (pay via Mindfulnests website)
Guided by mindfulness educator York, participants will be introduced to simple, accessible mindfulness practices and tips that support awareness, emotional steadiness, and intentional living.
The workshop also introduces Chinese metaphysics, with a focus on BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), as a complementary lens for understanding life’s rhythms, transitions, and timing. Shared as a tool for insight rather than prediction, BaZi offers a perspective on personal strengths, challenges, and alignment, supporting participants in navigating change with greater awareness and ease.
For participants who are open to sharing their birth details (year, month, date & hour), they will receive a complimentary BaZi reading for 2026.

Meet your host (and trip facilitator) - York, founder of Mindfulnests
York is a mindfulness educator who believes that journeys, both inner and outer, are invitations into deeper presence, reflection, and connection. With over 16 years of experience in experiential tertiary education and youth mentorship, she holds steady, compassionate spaces that support participants in slowing down and reconnecting with what truly matters.
Her path into mindfulness was shaped by lived experiences of personal challenge and loss, deepening her commitment to practices that cultivate resilience, calm, and clarity. Alongside this, York’s exploration of Chinese Metaphysics emerged as a quest for alignment. Through the ancient wisdom of BaZi and Feng Shui, she discovered powerful tools for self-understanding, clarity of purpose, and navigating life’s transitions with greater ease.
York’s experience in Bhutan has further shaped her approach to mindfulness, as she learned from the Bhutanese how compassion, harmony, and reverence for nature can be integrated into daily life. This experience continues to inform the way she guides others to cultivate curiosity, compassion, and a deeper connection with self and the world around them.
York is a trained teacher in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from UC San Diego School of Medicine, Center for Mindfulness, and brings together mindfulness and ancient wisdom with warmth, clarity, and grounded presence.
